Beginner Fly Fishing Package

We invite you to discover the joy and excitement of fly fishing.  The best way to learn the art of fly fishing is with a competent, patient and enthusiastic instructor.  Whether you fancy yourself as a budding fly rod angler or somebody you know (gift certificates available) has an interest, we can help get you off on the right foot.

Reel Mammoth Adventures prides itself on teaching beginners the fundamentals.  Learning a solid foundation of the basics will facilitate aspiring anglers to competence in a short order of time. 

Our beginner package includes ALL THE FISHING GEAR, including rods/reels, waders & boots, flies, leaders etc. (Anglers 16 years and older need to provide their own CA freshwater fishing license). This half day, 5 hour clinic, is for anglers with little or no fly fishing experience. The day will begin with a casting clinic at the local park. We will cover the basics of casting a fly rod and a lively role playing exercise to teach landing a hooked fish on a fly rod. We will then hit the stream to cover:  rigging up the fly rod, fly fishing knots, aquatic entomology (bugs & fly selection) and of course.....hooking and releasing fish un-harmed.

PAYMENTS
All payments and tips must be made in CASH or CHECK. Credit Cards are taken for DEPOSIT on last minute bookings only.  A 50% deposit in the form of a check or money order must be received as soon as possible to finalize the booking of a trip.

CANCELLATIONS
We have a *14 day cancellation policy.  All fishing trips must be cancelled outside of 14 days from the trip date and your 50% deposit is refundable.  Inside of 14 days, any cancellation is at the sole discretion of the guide only.  Inclement weather is beyond my control and does not constitute cancellation of a trip.  Booking a fishing trip confirms that the cancellation policy is accepted.
*We have a 30 day cancellation on multi-guide or multi-day trips.
